Adversary (ADV), was born in the Bronx NY. He lived in the Park Chester projects until he was 5 and then moved with his mother to Maryland. Over the years Adversary has developed a very significant following in the Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia metropolitan area. He dominated the airwaves during emcee battles on the top 2 urban radio stations - WPGC 95.5 & WKYS 93.9 (6 months on air). Adversary has also posted an undefeated record in face-to-face battles. Some of his many titles include 93.9 WKYS "Ultimate Cipher Champion", Breaker's Delight 2 and 3 Battle Champion, Howard University Homecoming-ReMix Kingz Battle Champion and Showtimes "The Next Episode Battle" DC Champion. ADV's music is a breath of fresh air. He has a very raw lyrical wit not seen since Big L and NAS. He is an extremely gifted lyricist who consistently balances his crafty wordplay, consciousness and commercial mass appeal. In fall of 2007 ADV released a song called "Twice As High" which was showcased on XM Radio's hip hop show SubSoniq and received a tremendous response. It was selected as a top 20 single of 2007. In the fall of 2009 through spring 2010 Adversary received national acclaim after appearing on BET's 106 & Park for 7 weeks as an undefeated Freestyle Friday ultimate champion. Adversary was also the runner up in the 2011 Red Bull EMsee battle, a competition that incorporates sight (images) and sound (words) in which the artist has to use visual and grammatical prompts given on the spot in their performance. In 2013 Adversary released his "I AM LEGEND" EP which included the singles "Dream Chaser" and "Killing Time". Both received a major response in the streets. In late 2014 he released his most recent project "Everybody Hates Chris" which includes the smash "Turn Up". Adversary has since been featured on the 16 Or Better cypher which is hosted by MTV “Wild’n Out’s” Jack Thriller. In 2017 Adversary stepped back into the battle circuit and additionally made his debut on the King Of The Dot (KOTD) battle league, the second largest rap battle league in the world. Adversary is destined for success as a superstar and will bring authentic hip hop back to the forefront of mainstream radio and television.
